C. Joseph Barfield Elementary School is the home of the Terrific Tigers! The 50+ members of our total staff are committed to a high quality education for our 550 students in grades kindergarten through grade six. We work collaboratively to meet the needs of a population rich in diversity of language and cultures.

MAYOR ROTHMAN VISITS BARFIELD!
Thank you to the Honorable Mayor Rothman for visiting our school, walking through classrooms and being a part of Mr. Lukesh's Africa Day Celebration on Wednesday, June 3rd.

SUCCESSFUL OPEN HOUSE
Thank you to all the parents who attended our OPEN HOUSE on Wednesday, June 3rd.  We had various community representatives providing information about summer programs/activities for our students.

UNIFORMS FOR 09/10 SCHOOL YEAR
After surveys indicated that our parents are in support of the use of uniforms, we will be implementing a uniform policy for next school year.  A PARENT UNIFORM MEETING was held on June 3rd and parents were given information on prices, samples provided & uniform vendor sold uniforms on-site at Barfield.  We will wear navy blue pants, shorts, skorts, jumpers and white or light blue tops.

BARFIELD HAS TALENT
We are so proud of our talented tigers! We had a successful Talent Show on May 22nd.  We then took our show on the road and visited Casa Colina Hospital to cheer up the patients.

The new school year begins on September 8th.


We are now enrolling kindergartners for the 2009-2010 school year. The child must be five-years old on or before December 2, 2009.
